About UsCambashi is headquartered in Cambridge, UK, where it was founded in 1984. Many of our staff worked in the research and development phase of the Computer Aided Design industry that originated in the 1960s at MIT and Cambridge University. Later, in the commercialization phase, several of our staff were involved in worldwide sales and marketing, especially in Japan.
Our name, Cambashi, reflects our hybrid heritage. Our roots in Europe are represented by 'Cam' for Cambridge and the Japanese 'bashi' for 'bridge.' As our name implies, we provide a bridge between the development of technology for industry and its effective use to generate revenue and profit.
We continue to retain our links with Cambridge University. In 2008 we established a permanent North American base in Massachusetts, with a briefing center in downtown Boston. Additionally, we provide truly international coverage through our worldwide network of associates.
