BRIC Narrows the Gap on Japan8/2/2010
New figures from Cambashi, an independent IT industry analysis and marketing firm, estimate that by 2012 the combined BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India, China) market for technical applications software in the manufacturing sector will nearly match Japan (see figure). In the market for technical applications in the manufacturing sector, the four countries had different responses to the global ‘credit-crunch’ economic problems of 2008 and 2009. Measured in US dollars, only China maintained growth in this segment during 2009, but estimates for 2011 and 2012 show growth in all four countries. << Back to News |
