In most companies, professional development and business success go hand in hand. For 2007, Cambashi has created a business practice focussed on Training and Industry Readiness. The aim of the practice is to deliver a full range of professional development and training services for our clients who work with manufacturing and related industries.

It is widely accepted that the knowledge and skills of staff will ultimately define the limits of what sales and project teams can achieve. Making sure that new staff become productive quickly, and that existing staff continue to develop their skills, is a key management activity. To accomplish this requires access to a variety of different professional development resources.

Cambashi addresses this need with a number of products and services which build into a client-specific training curriculum. The curriculum can include interactive on-line (e-learning) courses, webinars, instructor-led workshops and business simulations.

The self-paced, online course 'Cambashi-ItM: Manufacturing Fundamentals' focuses on manufacturers' activities and business operations, and introduces some of the IT solutions manufacturers are using to support their operations. There are 11 additional online courses, each of which looks at a particular manufacturing industry, such as Automotive, Chemicals or Utilities, in more detail.

An interactive simulation game called Factory™ introduces basic manufacturing finance, including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and key industry ratios.

Client-specific instructor-led courses build on this basic knowledge. They can focus on a particular business areas and/or client solutions.
